It’s not something they like to admit - but they will tell each other. To the outside world they put on a air - a shell - a white washed tomb.
They love and follow Jesus, so their live is all roses. But on the inside they feel like hell. They feel condemned and lonely - sad, and rejected - unlovable.
Now most will tell you that’s just the Devil trying to get at you - or bring you down. But, have you ever thought that maybe you are unlovable? That maybe you just blew your chance at being loved by being a jerk to all those who loved you? Have you ever thought that maybe the reason you have so much guilt is because you are full of hate and bitterness towards others or that you have done unspeakable things, all while asking people to pray for you as you endure your “hardship”.
I think it’s the latter. Guilt’s a good thing that Christian’s have tried to remove. Just because you believe in a religion where you are forgiven, does not mean that you should not feel guilty still for the evil you do to others. I say more-so. As a religious person, you should feel even more guilt because not only do you have your conscience but you have your religion, whether it be christian, catholic, or any other religion.
I was speaking to someone recently, and it amazes me the attitude that Christians and religious people have.
So if you feel unloved, sad, dejected, rejected, lonely - it’s not “Satan” - it’s your body trying to tell you to wake up and stop hurting yourself and others.
And that brings up another point. What about the others who have no guilt? Do they really believe because they said some words that that absolves them of all their guilt while they go out and abuse their children, lie, cheat, murder, hate, rape, and support those that do?
So, maybe you feel unlovable because you ARE UNLOVABLE! Maybe you feel alone because you ARE! Maybe you feel sad because you are a SAD individual. But, who can change that? You. Quit being a jerk and maybe someone will love you! You don’t need to convince yourself it’s in your head - you need to change!
For me, I’ve always been the optimistic type. I have a hard time being around someone who is pessimistic and always trying to bring me down. I guess I believe that if I fight hard and long enough that the right comes eventually - even if it takes 20 years. I guess that’s just me though - I work for what I believe in until it is accomplished.
